A MULTIFACETED VOICE
Sandra started her vocal training and experience in 2003. She took up acting, storytelling, worked with local radio stations and recording studios for which she had been voice acting and lip synching (documentaries, songs, commercials, jingles...).
A Jazz student during 7 years in the Le Mans Conservatory of Music, she gained a songwriting qualification passed with distinction in 2013. She extended her knowledge of music attending vocal and musical workshops such as Brazilian percussions, developps interest in sound engineering and joins the Conservatory choir singing on a classical repertoire.
Sandra has been testing and exploring her vocal performances on stage during 15 years. Very eager to find the music that would match perfectly with her voice, she got involved, with passion and energy, in no more than a dozen bands, singing in different languages and on different types of Music (Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, Gypsy Jazz, Soul Music, Bossa Nova, Rhythm and Blues....).
Eventually her talent for Blues revealed itself in 2012 as she seized the exciting opportunities she was offered, to sing at the EUROPAJAZZ, GUITARALDE and the SO BLUES festivals. For the latter, she performed a support concert for the amazing American Blueswoman Candye Kane. After this special gig, Sandra was announced in the French local press as "This year’s local Blues-singing revelation".
A last point to mention is her musical partnership with the talented Pop and Rock songwriter Nicolas Macsana. She writes most of the lyrics in English on Nicolas’ music and arrangements. ARTYFIS, a Franco-British Pop-Rock band in which they both sang, experienced the songs and won a public prize. Sandra now wants to take a further step in this creative direction and is today working on her own originals in order to set up her musical project.
